The Canadian Travel Guide in Honor of Canada’s 150th Birthday

Canada will be celebrating its 150th birthday, and the country is rejoicing on its planned programs. There is no other year more ideal to visit this land than in 2017. In its Conversation kit, Canada in partnership with the CBC/Radio-Canada, VIA Rail Canada and Community Foundations plans to launch the 2017 Starts Now.

The country will see an influx of tourists as they have been awarded by Lonely Planet as the number one travel destination of the year for 2017. Here are our travel picks:

All of Canada's National Parks are for FREE. There are 47 national parks of Canada and each will have free Discovery Passes for locals or tourists alike in giving them the opportunity to cross the 13 provinces in 2017. That means everybody will have access to 171 sites of national parks, historical and marine conservation areas and sites.

Trans Canada Trail. Go hiking or simply walking in this path which was made almost 25 years ago. The Trans Canada Trail will be completed by 2017 in time for the celebration. One can go "cycling, cross-country skiing, horseback riding, paddling, and snowmobiling, or even swimming" and see the sceneries around you, according to the Great Trail.

Cabot Trail Coastal. Go cruising in the most beautiful drive in the world. You can also stop by some villages to try their dishes and enjoy yourself on a beach cove. If you're up to it, ho hiking along and just rest among the corner and see the sunset or sunrise.

Storm Watching in Tofino, B.C. Who would want to watch a storm for fun? But here in Canada, watching storms are fun! In fact, it gained a nod as a Canadian Tourism Commission's Signature Experience.

See a whale or iceberg up close. At Linkum Tours, you can sign up and see yourself kayaking with whales and icebergs or with orca and dolphins. You can also hike and walk along with a moose.

You'll be seeing more of Canada by next year!
