To avoid certain hassles, most travelers feel the need to own hotel chain rewards cards, airline credit card rewards cards for those extra miles per travel. For a maximum vacation experience, travelers find it necessary to purchase great but costly gear. But these are just a few of those vacation hassles that need to die in 2017 such as useless airline and hotel loyalty programs, spiked up hotel and airline fees and overpriced travel equipment.
Peak season means peak prices for airline tickets. According to USA Today, three US domestic airlines need to stop their new online multi-city ticket pricing that only pushed up travel costs in 2017. But the increases could still stay as there is no law against raising ticket prices. The news website reports that most US hotels have prices surged up to 9% of their original prices -- and may end soon once the Federal Trade Commission makes an announcement regarding the issue.
As a probabl solution, travelers could sign themselves up to an airline or hotel loyalty rewards card. Frequent flyers could take advantage of free flights and guaranteed discounted rooms during peak seasons. It is a costly exchange to spend more for these loyalty cards and programs, making them useful -- yet unfriendly for most budget-conscious travelers.
Travelers could end yearly high baggage costs due to inflated in-season vacation equipment they purchase by renting their equipment offshore. By renting equipment online, travelers also end the hassle of packing their gear, accummulating higher baggage costs and having international customs hold their schedule
According to LA Times, certain sporting good chains in America such as REI and Adventure 16 allow travelers to rent camping gear -- including action cameras like GoPros. It also specified several online sporting goods rentals for skiing and other sports that ship to different areas of the United States.
Most Americans can find vacations to be a burden and most of the time additional costs and fees build up this headache. These unfriendly loyalty memberships, hotel price surges and unfair baggage costs could be abolished maybe not in 2017, but soon.
