Blizzard Conditions Makes Travel Very Dangerous In Some Parts Of The US This 2016 Post Holiday

A Blizzard condition makes it dangerous to travel in some parts of the US this post Holiday season 2016. Travelers are advised to take extra precaution if they plan on traveling in parts of North and Central US as a blizzard has made it dangerous and nearly impossible to travel safely.

The public is warned to take extra precaution if they are traveling to North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana as these areas will be heavily affected by the blizzard that has come to make sure people in these areas have a really, really white post Christmas holiday. As reported by The Guardian, snow fall of up to 15 inches and winds up to 55 mph are to be expected in these areas.

By Sunday evening, a full on blizzard is set to unfold from western South Dakota and surrounding areas to Northeastern North Dakota as reported by AccuWeather. Brett Rathbun, AccuWeather meteorologist added that, "The heaviest snow and worst of the blizzard conditions will occur from Rapid City, South Dakota, to Bismarck and Grand Forks, North Dakota.". The blizzard is expected to expand to the Southern Manitoba area, including Winnipeg and northern Ontario during the night.

If you are traveling during this time, make sure to take extra safety measures to ensure that you will arrive at your destination unscathed. Dress warm and practical to avoid suffering from frost bite or any snow-related injuries. However, if it can wait, it's better to stay put and let the blizzard pass as it is said to only last for around 12 hours.

Driving in a blizzard is highly dangerous, so if you plan on driving to any of these places that will be affected by the blizzard, it's best to rethink your plan and perhaps travel after the blizzard has passed. The weather is unpredictable as it can change any time, keeping track of weather news is wise if you need to travel this season.
