World’s Best Cities: These Are World’s Best Cities For Expats

World chaos and unrest have left many expats groping in uncertainty as to whether their current city is still the best to live. With the victory of Donald Trump, many citizens of the U.S. are contemplating to change cities.

Many cities in the world are conducive to healthy and peaceful living. What are the cities that pass as the best cities to reside?

Mercer's 18th annual study of foreign worker's overseas lifestyles, a consulting firm, has named Vienna as the first of the world's best cities for expatriates in 2016. The city of music, coffee and grand architecture was at the top based on the quality of living says CNN.

Zurich in Switzerland placed 2nd while Munich in Germany landed at the top 4. Auckland, New Zealand and Vancouver in Canada tied at no. 5. Dusseldorf in Germany was in no. 6, Frankfurt at no. 7, Geneva at no. 8, Copenhagen at the 9th spot and Sydney, Australia is at the 10th spot.

The city of disciplined people, Singapore placed at no. 26. The city of many lights, Dubai is at no. 75 while Cape Town, Africa, and Johannesburg are at 92nd and 95th spots. The fashion capital, Paris and the home of the New York Fashion Week landed below the top 20.

Despite social unrest and security problems and the bleak economic outlook for the European region, the cities nestled in it are still the world's top in quality living. The criteria for the top cities include health, schools, safety, environment, public services, and consumer goods. The population of the survey is 440 cities. Middle Eastern cities have plummeted in standing because of the ongoing wars and instability

The highest ranking U.S. city is San Francisco at no. 28. Then it is followed by Boston at 34, Honolulu at 35 and Chicago at 43 and New York at 45. The no. 37 is Paris after two major attacks and London is at no. 39.
