Stephen King is well known for his works being adapted into blockbuster films. The "Revival" movie which will be starred by none other than Russell Crowe is currently in the making. Here is "The Mummy" co-actor, Tom Cruise's reaction.
Director Josh Boone's revelation about his plans on filming King's adaptation of "The Stand" happened early this year. However, it looks like there's a sudden change of mind by the director. It was reported that he will do King's "Revival" instead.
It was Josh Boone's who suggested that Russell Crowe will star in the movie shortly after planning for the upcoming film. The movie talks about a preacher who lost his faith when his family died in a tragic accident. Then a lot of twists here in there afterward.
When the director decided to push through with the film, he personally went and approach Crowe to say he wanted him to be the lead star. "So when I wanted to adapt his novel "Revival", I really just went and asked him," Boone said.
Samuel L. Jackson will also be a part of the movie together with Crowe and other co-stars. Boone saw the potential of the 52-year-old actor now more than ever. Tom Cruise praised Crowe for his acting which proved that the latter is an outstanding actor.
It can be recalled that the two actors co-starred in the movie "The Mummy". The American actor talked about his great scenes with Crowe. "He is incredible in it. He's such a fine actor and I just had a lot of fun watching him develop that character", Cruise said.
Both of them are good friends for decades now and they most likely comfortable working together. They have a very simple and direct connection with a great deal of respect to each other in what they both do. There's a probably a high chance that the adaptation of Stephen King's "Revival" will be another hit once it is released in the cinemas.
