Ten-Episode 'Travelers' Free To Binge Watch In Netflix From December 23; 'Travelers' Season 2 Details Still Unclear

Last October 17, sci-fi show "Traveler" aired in Canada. This December 23, Netflix viewers in the US can binge the interesting series if they have nothing to do. Showing support for the series, Netflix still has yet to clear whether the show is getting a Netflix-produced second season.

According to Bustle, "Travelers" will be available for streaming on December 23. The show has 10 episodes to grace Netflix subscribers for the first time. Initially launched by cable channel Showcase Canada and Netflix on October 17, the sci-fi series has garnered huge fanfare with positive reviews from most viewers for its intriguing plot and drama.

Set years into the future during an apocalyptic future with the human population decimated by a doomsday scenario. The last few survivors - through scientific ingenuity - design a way to send their consciousness back into the present day 21st century. They assume different individual shortly after the times of said individuals' deaths and focus on averting the doomsday scenario - while also traversing the typical human drama that comes with their personalities' existing relationships and their own.

Despite the show's immense success, Netflix has yet to verify whether "Travelers" season 2 is in the works. Bustle's Caitlyn Flynn said the show could do more than 10 episodes due to its intriguing premise and plot. Currently, Showcase Canada and Netflix has not yet canceled the series from its roster.

According to Syfy Wire, "Travelers" is similar to "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and the "Assassin's Creed" franchise. In "Days of Future Past," Hugh Jackman's iconic "Wolverine" is sent back from the future to 1973 - a time when famed doctor "Charles Xavier" has yet to open his home for mutants - and the government is imperiled by the existence of mutants leading to the "Sentinel" program of the future.

In "Assassin's Creed," a normal man is captured by the shady organization "Abstergo Industries" in a quest to tap into his past through his ancestral DNA storing memories of his assassin elders - which he plays out and learns from. The videogame franchise recently made a movie, which unfortunately led to poor reviews.
