London's trendy East End is home to myriad eateries and bars, independent boutiques, and now, a rooftop where you can enjoy an outdoor movie while sipping champagne in a hot tub.
Hot Tub Cinema has taken over the rooftop of Netil360 in Hackney complete with glorious views of the city skyline.
Classic films are shown on a big screen while groups of bikini-clad friends sip champagne and wine.
The company's website says, "Hot Tub Cinema began privately about seven years ago. Since then it has grown in increments, reaching the stage of a handful of hot tubs in a garden in Stoke Newington about 18 months ago, at which point we realised it was time to find some new & exciting venues for our expanding endeavors."
Asher Charman, one of the owners behind the project, added to Reuters. 'About a year ago we thought you know what, it's about time, we've over grown our garden here, we've got three or four tubs, it's time to take the step up and here we are now.'
To start the night off swimsuit-clad viewers are treated to a glass of champagne to toast the sunset. Though some opt for their own tub with friends, many try to squeeze in with total strangers making the experience all the more interesting and hedonistic.
Fees start at $35 but go up according to hot tub type. There is a cozy hot tub which fits up to eight and a spacious tub that fits no more than six. A few tubs are available for groups at a price of $320.
Since its earnest beginnings its grown into quite a popular spectacle. The event is often sold out and space is limited. Check here for tickets.
