India's only two-star Michelen chef, Vineet Bhatia and world famous, Nobu Matshuisa from Japan, have joined Qatar Airways a long with a select few other renowned chefs from the International culinary world. Michelen chefs from India, Japan, Lebanon and Britain have joined forces with the airline to represent fine cuisine from different pockets of the world in Qatar Airways Culinary World Menu.
The airline said in a statement, "Handpicked to set a new standard for dining in the sky while representing the finest international cuisine from every corner of the world, the all-star team of culinary ambassadors has collaborated to create the Qatar Airways Culinary World Menu - a new range of tempting signature dishes to satisfy the tastes of the airline's discerning passengers."
Chef Vineet Bhatia from Mumbai India bring his world-class Indian fare, Chef Nobu Matsuhisa brings his Asian-fusion cuisine, Chef Ramzi Choueiri from Lebanon includes his take on Middle Easter cuisine and Chef Tom Aikens from Britain adds a European flair to the menu.
The chefs were announced at a press conference in Doha, Qatar. "My cooking comes from the heart. I believe in my food and I believe in what I do. As a child, I dreamt of being a pilot, so I jumped at the chance to work with Qatar Airways and share my passion with such an established and rapidly growing award-winning airline that is bringing a whole new travel experience to the world. My objective is to match the service with a 5-star dining experience," Bhatia said in the statement.
CEO Akbar Baker added that the airlines collaborations with the award winning chefs further exemplifies Qatar Airways' commitment to the passenger experience. He said, "Yet as a truly global airline we understand that beyond superior service, travellers also want to enjoy the journey of discovery, exploring new tastes and cuisines. That is why we've travelled the world to assemble a team of culinary experts to offer our passengers the very best dining experience available in the sky."
The chefs have all been hand-picked to create a unique menu for international flights.
The new dining experience will start on the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner and have started to be rolled out on flights from Doha International Airport.
