Tired of running away from the winter season? Go to Northern Finland and experience the Pure McLaren Arctic Experience on January 18 to February 6, 2017.
Most people would rather spend the holidays in warmer parts of the world than experience the white holidays. Tourists often flock to top holiday destinations such as the Maldives' coral islands, Bora Bora's islets and turquoise lagoon, or the Caribbean's newest over water villas in The Sands.
But rather than escape the cold, one should try embracing it. It may sound like a crazy holiday, but going to the colder part of the Earth, specifically 200 miles north of the Arctic Circle, might just be the adrenaline junkies' best holiday getaway.
The Pure McLaren Arctic Experience is a three-day program which offers a unique driving experience to thrill-seekers and car enthusiasts. McLaren, a British car manufacturer, has chosen Finland as this year's base camp.
According to Conde Nast Traveler, participants of the program will be able to experience driving 570S supercars on 62 miles of completely frozen roads, lakes and hillside trails. According to McLaren, guests will stay in Jávri Lodge in Saariselkä, the former residence of Finland's president.
But what if guests don't know how to drive? McLaren will provide ice driving specialists to teach the participants the basic and advanced skills in maneuvering the supercars. These skills include sliding and drifting through frozen ice. If one gets bored of the driving tracks, guests will be able to experience a full expedition through forests and frozen lakes which are to be led by a team of Siberian husky.
Not an adrenaline junkie nor a driver? Guests can still experience the Pure McLaren Arctic Experience through other non-driving activities such as reindeer herding, skiing or snowshoeing. Whatever snow or ice-related activities you have in mind, you can do it during the program.
How much does the program cost? McLaren offers packages which start at $13,000. Not a bad way to spend the winter.
Thrill-seekers or start-up travelers can now enjoy the coldest weather of the season through various activities in Finland. This might just be the most memorable and more adrenaline-pumping experience guests will have.
