Prince Harry Afghanistan 2012: Two Members in Prince Harry's Camp Have Been Killed

Two U.S. members of the NATO forces in Southern Afghanistan, which are part of the same camp where Prince Harry is based, have been killed.

An attack on the U.S. Marine half of Camp Bastion/Leatherneck left two U.S. members of the team dead. The Leatherneck half of the NATO operations center in the Helmand Province.

The attack was launched against the International Security Assistance Force after midnight local time.

British defense officials said to reporters that the "the incident is being dealt with."

On Monday, The Taliban launched the "Harry Operations" where they claimed they would do everything in their power to kill Prince Harry, 27, who is third in line to the British throne.

After Harry trained in Arizona and Nevada, he qualified to fly an Apache helicopter in combat earlier this year.

Royal Navy Captain Jock Gordon, Commander of the Joint Aviation Group, said according to the BBC: "Captain Wales, with his previous experience as a Forward Air Controller on operations, will be a useful asset. He will be in a difficult and demanding job. And I ask that he be left to get on with his duties and allowed to focus on delivering support to the coalition troops on the ground."

The Prince is the first member of the Royal Family to be in active combat since Prince Andrew, his uncle fought in the Falklands War.

The attack is the worst to date on Camp Bastion/Leatherneck.
