After getting initially released back in August 2016, the most note-worthy total conversion for "Skyrim" called "Enderal: The Shards of Order" will now get its first DLC titled "Enderal: Forgotten Stories." The expansion pack will be bringing a 10-20 more hours of exploration and content.
Nicolas Samuel, an official forum moderator and team member at SureAI.net the team is behind "Enderal" have officially made the announcement for the upcoming expansion for the already expansive mod. The "Forgotten Stories" DLC will be bringing back the cut parts from the original release as well as introducing a number of game mechanic improvements.
While PCGamer and a lot of online gaming publication see "Enderal" as the best total conversion for "Skyrim," it could still be subjective as to which mod is the biggest and best among thousands around the internet. However, "Enderal" could be hailed as the most unique due to its simple look, but with an awfully in-depth story and the amount of time, players will be spending, can span around as quick as 30 hours up to more than 100.
The main objective of the DLC is to bring a number of quests and two entirely new guild quest lines. Players could join up with a group of infamous merchants across the land called Golden Sickle and take part with non-linear missions and objectives.
There will also be additional bounty missions as well as quests to clear out some untouched subjects like the origin of the Veiled Woman in the first iteration of the mod. Some quests would also lead a player to discover the secret ending for the main quest.
While this is good news and all, the developers still suggested players start a new game. This indicating the DLC is to be best enjoyed as an entirely standalone mod and less of an addon. One particular reason to this is the ability to obtain the hidden ending. This can only be done by starting over.
As for the release date, there's no conclusive date yet besides the 2017 schedule. The entire SureAI team still have their hands full with side projects and some of the team members are actually committed to other tasks. Hopefully, fans get to see the expansion sometime early next year.
