‘Scream Queens’ Update: No Season 3 Due To Poor Ratings?

"Scream Queens" penultimate Season 2 episode claimed yet another life. This time it was one of the killers.

The episode is actually one of the season's weaker hours, TV Fanatic reported. The episode showed the Chanels getting a surprise visit from their favorite TV personality, Dr. Scarlett Lovin (Brooke Shields).

On the other hand, Wes, Nurse Hoffel and Cassidy listing out the names of the people they have killed so far, and they voted that Nurse Hoffel would be the one to do away with the Chanels. But Wes insisted on doing the killing because he blames Chanel for Grace's mental illness.

Wes puts cyanide in Chanel's coffee cup, but Dr Lovin drinks it instead. This caused Nurse Hoffel and Cassidy to turn against the third meanie, and he ended up dead after he falls into a hot oil.

The remaining Meanies will carry out with their plan against the Chanels, but it is not yet known if they will succeed. Synopsis for Season 2 episode 10, which is titled "Drain The Swamp", reads: "The Green Meanie sets its final plan for revenge in motion as Hester makes a bold move to secure her future, and Brock performs a dangerous surgery to save Dean Munsch's life."

Aside from the deaths in the episode, another highlight was when the Chanels took MCATs. They were convinced by Dr. Scarlett Lovin's show, Lovin' the D.

Meanwhile, there are a few talks about the fate of "Scream Queens". According to rumors, the series won't be coming back for a season 3 due to poor ratings. The show's average weekly audience barely exceeds one million viewers, making it Fox's lowest-rated series.

Others say that Lea Michele may be able to save the show from cancellation. Reports say that fans loved her portrayal as psychopathic Hester Ulrich/Chanel No. 6 in Scream Queens season 2. There is no confirmation yet if there will really be a Season 3.
