A Nevada man was arrested at Denver International Airport after he was caught watching porn and fondling himself on a flight.
Daniel Michael Drinan, 63, was on a Southwest Airlines flight from Baltimore-Washington International Airport to the Denver airport when a fellow passenger discovered him engaging in some lewd behavior. Drinan connected to the plane's Wi-Fi service to watch porn on his laptop while on the flight. He then began touching himself, right in the view of other passengers, according to the Daily Mail.
A woman sitting nearby saw Drinan touching himself. Thinking he would stop, she waited to alert flight attendants. However Drinan continued his inappropriate behavior. The woman had enough and brought it to the attention of the crew.
The flight attendant, who was a male, saw that Drinan's genitalia was fully exposed, although he tried to hide his behavior with his laptop at some points. The flight attendant told him to put his pants back on.
Southwest Airlines has some restrictions on their Wi-Fi service, but it isn't always a guarantee.
"That sort of technology, however, isn't always foolproof, Chris Mainz, spokesman for Southwest Airlines told the Denver Post. "It's hard to know if it was through the WiFi or perhaps he had something downloaded on his computer."
Drinan was taken into custody on Saturday evening for his obscene behavior on the aircraft.
The FBI and the Denver Police Department are investigating the issue. Drinan may face a 90 day jail sentence and a $250 fine if convicted.
This isn't the first time someone was caught touching themselves inappropriately on a plane. In May 2011, 25-year-old Kyle Pearce of Florida was arrested after he masturbated to the point of ejaculation on a United Airlines flight, also to Denver.
