Actor Christian Bale recently flew a four-year old cancer patient to Disneyland with his family. Jayden Barber who is suffering from leukemia received a gift of a lifetime from Christian Bale, who flew him and his family to Disney club 33 in Los Angeles to have lunch with him.
Friends and family of the child set up a Facebook page in the boy's honor for him to have his wish granted to meet the "real batman." When Bale found out about the campaign, he flew Barber and his relatives on a trip to Disneyland.
Barber's mother wrote on the Facebook page, "He and his family were so awesome and down to earth!!!"
She added, "The entire interaction was like old friends having lunch. Jayden did not get star struck but was well aware of who we were with!"
Bale has given back to his fans in the past, visiting shooting victims in Colorado who were injured during the mass movie shooting for during the "Dark Knight Rises."
Jayden's mother said that Bale and her son talked about super heros and Bale was "genuinely happy to hear about everything Jayden wanted to tell him. Christian, his wife and daughter are three of the most beautiful people we have ever met! Christian made these arrangements for us personally and ensured we were treated like royalty. I don't have even one negative thing to say about them. I can tell you that they were just as impressed w Jayden as Jayden was w them :)"
Barber was undergoing chemotherapy for bone cancer before it turned into MDS leukemia last year and is now in remission.
