Margot Robbie Comes Back as Harley Quinn in Gotham City Sirens

The word couldn't get enough of Australian actress Margot Robbie when she was introduced to us as Harley Quinn in the movie "Suicide Squad" when it was released this year. A crazy supervillain, she was the girlfriend of Joker (played by Jared Leto), and her demented sexy appeal left a mark on each one of us.

Now, it seems to be that our wish is coming true, as The Hollywood Reporter said in a report that Margot Robbie will indeed put on her Harley Quinn costume again, this time on a DC Universe "Suicide Squad" spin-off movie, "Gotham City Sirens."

Gotham City Sirens is based on a DC Comic Book Series with the same name, and it features some of the most popular female supervillains in the DC Universe such as Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman. Although aside from Harley Quinn, it's yet to be announced whether the said female supervillains will be joining her in the movie, as there are still no plot details yet.

To those who don't know, Catwoman is one of the prominent characters in DC Comics. She often wears a black cat-like costume, and has been introduced as one of the love interests of Batman. Meanwhile, Poison Ivy is also one of the main adversaries of Batman in the comics. She wears a green bathing-suit like costume covered in leaves, and she uses toxins and chemicals from dangerous plants to carry out her evil plans.

According to GQ, "Suicide Squad" director David Ayer will be the one to direct "Gotham City Sirens" as well. It was also announced that Robbie will be the executive producer.

The movie production is said to be moving fast; speculations are there would be another 'Suicide Squad' spin-off film, but this time it would center on Deadshot, the character Will Smith played in the movie.

"Suicide Squad" is globally popular. The movie raked in over $745 million worldwide and is one of the highest-grossing superhero movies of all time. But although fans welcomed the movie's release, it got mostly negative reviews from the critics.
