Airplane Passenger Causes Big Rift By Removing Clothes And Lighting Cigarettes Onboard

Proper airplane etiquette should always be practiced when in the airport and inside the plane to ensure a smooth and hassle-free travel. Unfortunately, a British man onboard Emirates A380 flight from Manchester to Dubai may have forgotten just that and is now in serious trouble.

The said man, who is said to be in his fifties, was in the business class and was said to be drunk. In an article released by Manchester Evening News, passengers were alarmed when they started to see smoke in the cabin after the said passenger lighted a cigarette.

In an interview with the said publication, one passenger shared that the man has been steadily drinking at the Business Class bar right from the moment the plane took off from Manchester at 9:20 in the evening. The man was said to have a heavy Manchester accent and was chatting with a woman across him.

"He was at the bar for ages and then at one point I came back from the toilet and he was in his seat with his shirt off. Who does that on a flight?" He also added, "Emirates also should have told this man to stop drinking."

Meanwhile, according to an article released by The Telegraph, five cabin crew members rushed in to the scene and surrounded the man. At first, he denied the actions but a supervisor was there to check on the man and found a pack of cigarettes on his pockets with one partially smoked. The man then explained that he "forgot he was on a plane" and wanted to talk to the captain and apologize.

Meanwhile, the airline company Emirates has released their official statement. "Emirates can confirm that on flight EK020 from Manchester to Dubai on 9 December, an intoxicated passenger had to be restrained by cabin crew. The aircraft was met by security upon landing at Dubai airport. The safety of our passengers and crew is of utmost importance and will not be compromised."
