"Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 is highly anticipated by fans especially after the successful release of the anime's season 1 and 2. But it seems that the excitement of the anime's fans will end since there are rumors that "Tokyo Ghoul" is already canceled.
There were speculations that "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will be released on winter 2016. However, new reports indicate that the anime will be delayed which eventually sparked rumors about the cancellation of the show.
It is said that the reason of the delay is because of the transfer of the show's management to Madman Entertainment from Studio Pierrot. Many are expecting that "Tokyo Ghoul 3" will be a big hit since Madman is also behind "One Punch Man" and "Death Note," which are two famous anime series.
Apart from that reason, reports are saying the only a few people are working on "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 which results into a slow progress. Meanwhile, there are also rumors that the material for the show is still lacking to complete one season. There are already available episodes but more are still needed for the entire season.
Another reason being pointed out is the involvement of Ishia to the anime series "Hunter X Hunter." It is possible that the creator is busy working on the said anime instead of working on "Tokyo Ghoul."
But according to Master Herald, the anime is targeted to return early next year by March 2017. However, this report is not yet confirmed by Madman Entertainment or by the anime's creator and show runners.
Said manga is written by Japanese manga artist Sui Ishida which was adapted as an anime series on July 2014. Despite cancellation rumors, it is still possible that "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will be release due to the massive success of its first two seasons.
Spoilers of "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 indicate that it will feature a darker plot making it inappropriate for the younger audience. It is also rumored that there will be bloodier scenes. The main protagonist, Kaneki will also transform into a complete Kakuja and that he will be dealing with a new villain, Otakukart reported.
