The excitement for the second season of the Duffer Brothers' "Stranger Things" continues, especially now that fans are getting more and more clues from interviews and hints by the makers and the actors themselves.
While fans await the Golden Globe winners (the show is nominated for Best TV Series for Drama and Best Performance by an Actress in a TV Drama Series for Winona Ryder) and the new season, take a look at what the internet has gathered so far.
Matt Duffer, one of the show's creators, was quoted as saying that "Stranger Things" Season 2 will take place "over the course of six or seven days - it's a really short period of time."
"So part of what we want to do with hypothetical (yeah right) Season 2 is to explore the repercussions of everything that happened," he added.
Shawn Levy, the show's producer, also implied that the second season could be a sequel. He told SlashFilm: "I'll just say that a lot of the big mysteries get answered at the end of Season 1, but we are very much kind of unearthing new problems and questions that merit future stories and future investigation in the most enjoyable way."
It also looks like the original cast will remain--in addition to rumored characters named Billy and Max. Those who are Team Barb, however, may be sad to know that she will not be returning. "I can assure you Barb is very much dead," said David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper.
Remember what Hopper did with the box of Eggos? Well, it looks like could be, indeed, for Eleven, which means that Millie Bobby Brown, who has since gathered a huge fan base all over the world, will be back for Season 2.
"He (Hopper) may understand that Eleven exists in some form. And so he's got this box out in the woods where he gives her food," hinted Levy.
Nothing has been officially confirmed just yet, but it's estimated that season 2 will be released sometime before July next year. Until then, we can all just watch the lights flicker and give us good omens that there will be more strange things to come.
