Changzhou, China located west of Shanghai, visitors can now ride the first 4-D roller coaster in the country.
At Global Dinosaur Town, a main amusement park in China, they have recently opene4d up a ride called Dinoconda. This 4-D roller coaster includes giant drops and extreme twisting and turning.
The Global Dinsaur Town covers 100 hectares and was created by Dragon City Tourism Holding Group. Located in the center of Changzhou Creativity Industry Base, the town isn't just a theme park with rides it is also boasts hot springs and cultural performances. Included in the land are also Oak Bay Golf Garden Hotel, Dino-valley Hot Spring, Dinosaur Town theatre and more.
The theme park's website states, "The Global Dinosaur Town, bearing beautiful dreams of millions of people, is creating a high quality and ecotourism experience full of happiness, culture, fashion and recreation. Here, it will become a happy heaven for social benefits, economic benefits, environmental benefits, and cultural benefits. Its success will surely bring about rapid industry development and magnify the accumulative effect of related industries."
The new Dinoconda ride is unique as it allows passengers to ride on the winged edges of a ar that are independent of each other. These seats spin around in circles, go backwards and forwards as they go over rails. Riders' feet are dangled over the ground as they go through the track at speeds of 80 miles per hour and reach heights of 260 feet.
One turn also allows visitors to feel as if they are floating in mid air in a zero-G spin. The ride is 1058m long and 79m high. Thrillseakers can enjoy 360 degree turns while it races down hill at high speeds with drops at nearly 90 degrees.
Other theme parks in China include Happy Valley which have other locations around China such as Shenzhen, Chengdu and Beijing.
