A new attraction has tourists coming back for more in the wall on Bergsgatan street, Malmo, Sweden. The streets are lined with cafes and restaurants specifically made to cater for mice. Yes, that's right. These aren't for humans!
An art group that goes by the name "Anonymouse" is responsible for the chain of mini-cafes and restaurants. The stores are relatively small, measuring about 70 centimeters by 30 centimeters, or about 25 inches by 12 inches. Imagine restaurants full of mice. What would these places offer? Well, everything that a mouse would want: wide variety of nuts and cheeses.
Different stores can be found in the mice strip. According to Curbed, there is a French shop called "Noix de Vie", which literally translates to "Nuts of Life". This particular store offers selection of nuts such as almonds, pistachios and hazelnuts. Found next door is an Italian restaurant called "Il Topolino", which literally translates to "Mickey Mouse". This restaurant offers cheese and crackers for its mice customers. Well, there might be French mice lurking around. We never know!
As RT has stated, it is not only the concept that entices tourists to gather and take photos of the artwork, but the real-life designs in the exterior and interior of the stores. These mouse cafes are full of miniature details which normally go unnoticed by the human eye. It even has signages of mouse events supposedly happening in the mice-world.
There is also the familiar hanging sign on the restaurant's door on which credit cards are accepted to pay for the meals. Mice can also choose to sit inside the white and red-colored place, or sit outside and people watch. Talk about exquisite detailing! The concept by "Anonymouse" is very new to humans that tourists come back to see how Sweden's mice community is accepting the new hang out places in their block.
