There have been dozens of small to moderate earthquakes hitting Southern California on Sunday.
The earthquakes have knocked caused amaged to homes in a small town east of San Diego. The largest quake was recorded at a 5.5 magnitutde and the epicenter was about three miles from Brawley at 1:57 p.m.
There was also another quake about a half hour earlier that was recorded at 5.3 on the richter scale.
In addition, there were more than 30 additional earthquakes with at magnitutde of at least 3.5 that hit the same area.
Damage included pushing 20 mobile homes at a trailer park off their foundations as well as power outages and some evacuations of patients from one of the county's two hospitals.
Business owners have stated the damage made at their shops and restaurants. Mike Patel who manages Townhouse Inn and Suites in Brawoley, said to The Associated Press, "It felt like there was quake every 15 minutes. One after another. My kids are small and they're scared and don't want to come back inside."
The first quake to hit was at a magnitude of 3.9 and occurred at 10:02 a.m. After that there were a reported more than 100 aftershocks that struck the same area.
Minor shaking was felt along the San Diego County coast in Del Mar as well as in southern Orange County, Coachella valley and areas of northern Mexico.
