JetBlue Offers All You Can Fly for Pets with its JetPaws Program

JetBlue is starting a new promotion this fall which will include unlimited flights for dogs and cats that are accompanied by their owners for $299. The promotion, a JetPaws "All Your Pet Can Jet" pass allows travelers to bring along their pup or kitty on an unlimited number of Jetblue flights that are booked between September 7 and December 31.

Jet Blue's website states, "JetPaws is an exclusive program designed to give owners all the tips and tools they need for a smooth trip with their pet, from start to finish. We're committed to all our customers, including the four-legged ones!"

The pass includes anywhere Jetblue flies except for St. Lucia, Barbados and Jamaica and there are no black out dates for those traveling during the holidays.

The pass will be on sale until Sept 5 while supplies last, but Jetblue didn't specify how many would be on sale.

Rules and regulations apply however, such as the carrier only allows four pets per flight so holding a pass does not guaranteed that your pet will get on. Also, the combined weight of the pet and the carrier can't exceed 20 pounds and must fit under the seat in front of you, so it's only good for small dogs and cats.

Typically, it costs a whopping $100 for one way trips and $200 on roundtrip flights to bring your pet onboard.

To purchase your pet pass, see these instructions below from Jetblue's website:

  • "Purchase your ALL YOUR PET CAN JET Pass onShopBluebetween 8/29 and 9/5/12 or while supplies last for $299.
  • Passes are non-refundable after 9/5/12. NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES WILL BE GRANTED AFTER 9/5/12.
  • Each Pass may be used by the purchaser only. This means that you can use the Pass you purchase to travel with a different pet on different flights, but you can't share your Pass with other people. If you want multiple people to be able to book travel and take trips with your pet, each of those people would need to buy an ALL YOUR PET CAN JET Pass.
  • Remember or write down the name and email address you provide when purchasing your Pass. That information will be required to book travel for your pet."
