The original "Baywatch" is an American action drama series which depicts the life of two lifeguards who patrol beaches of Los Angeles, California. The first episode of the series was shown on air in 1989.

The show was called off after the first season got low television rankings. It was revived in 1991 but lead actor, David Hasselhoff along with producers Michael Berk, Douglas Schwartz and Greg Bonann. The series became a huge hit, especially internationally, which was dubbed as "the most popular show in the world" with over 1 billion viewers. Two more spin-offs were produced after the success of "Baywatch": "Baywatch Nights" which also starred David Hasselhoff; and "Baywatch Hawaii" which starred Jason Momoa.

Of course, the beach will not be complete without the beach babes, which is led by Kelly Rohrbach, who portrays C.J. Parker, a role famously played by not less than Pamela Anderson. Variety has compiled a series of then and now photos of actors portraying the same roles. Today featured the exclusive official trailer in their site and there's nothing we can wish for more than to fast forward to summer! "Baywatch" is coming to theaters on May 26, 2017.
