Katy Perry spent some time at the 'happiest place on earth' this week to get over the sadness of her breakup with singer John Mayer.
On Saturday, the "Wide Awake" singer headed to Disneyland in California. She tweeted "Today I am promised happiness. Let's do this!" The 27-year-old singer was in need of some cheering up after John Mayer reportedly broke up with her.
"John did a real number on Katy," a source told RadarOnline.com. "She held off from his advances for the longest time, but he laid on the charm thick and promised her he was a changed man. She eventually gave in, fell head over heels for him and then - yep - once he had made his conquest, he dumped her."
"She's really upset about it," another source told US Weekly. "She is making it seem like it wasn't serious with John, but she is hurt."
Perry started spending time with Mayer shortly after her divorce from Russell Brand was finalized in mid-July.
A trip to Disneyland seemed to cheer Perry up a bit. She first went to Disney's California Adventure to check out the park's newest attractions. She then went to Disneyland where she rode rides such as Buzz Lightyear Astro blasters, Space Mountain and Star Tours.
Perry ended the day with dinner at the exclusive members-only Club 33. Club 33 is a five star restaurant located behind a hidden door above the Blue Bayou restaurant in New Orleans Square. The club was created for Walt Disney to enjoy dinners with his friends. It is rumored that only 500 people are members and those who join must pay an enrollment fee of $25,000 and annual dues of $10,000, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The club is the only place in the family park that serves alcohol, so Perry was able to have a few drinks while she dined with a friend and mended her once again broken heart.
Perry posted a photo of herself and her friend wearing Mickey Mouse ears in the exclusive club on Twitter. She wrote "Why, yes! WE will dine with you, Walt!"
