Travel Tips: Paris, France Guide To Best Hollywood Film Locations You Can Actually Visit

Paris, France is one of the most recognizable tourist destination in the world. It sets a high standard of a lavish and most romantic touring experience. There are endless things to do within its vicinity, from walking in the park of Jardin du Luxembourg, shameless selfies or groupie at the Eiffel Tower, art appreciation inside the Musée du Louvre, endless Halloween experience at Les Catacombes, strengthening of faith at the city's most visited unticketed site, the Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris. Its opulent beauty also captured the hearts of film-makers. Draped in its natural and picturesque surroundings, famous movies are shoot in different praise-worthy locations.

"Before Sunset" is an American romantic drama of 2004 that starred Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. In the movie, Ethan's character, a bestselling writer, had a book tour in Europe, including Paris. They filmed inside the Shakespeare and Company bookstore on the Left Bank; walked through Le Marais district and dine at Le Pure Café.

The movie doesn't only praise because of its storyline but also because of its dramatic choice of locations. "This sweet film is a genuine treat, even if there's little plot, no antic mayhem and its 90-minute running time is mostly consumed by nonstop, sometimes pretentious dialogue as Celine and Jesse meander together through pretty Paris neighborhoods," one commented from Rotten Tomatoes.

Adapted on Brian Selznick's graphic novel The Invention of Hugo Cabret, it is about a boy who lives on his own in the Gare Montparnasse railway station in Paris. Starring Asa Butterfield, Jude Law, Sacha Baron Cohen, Ben Kingsley and Chloë Grace Moretz the movie "Hugo" gathered Best Cinematography Awards, Best Foreign Film and Best Film in different award giving bodies. Notable in the movie is the "Film Academy Library", in which the main character researches about the history of the movies. It was captured inside the arched reading room of the Bibliothèque Saint-Geneviève.

"Midnight In Paris" starring Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams is a 2011 film that captured a gorgeous montage of different places of the city. Featuring Monet's Garden in Giverny, Musée de l'Orangerie, Rodin Museum, the casts also strolled through the spectacular gardens at Versailles and walks along Seine River. The film also captured the magical feels of romance in Paris as the actors walk across the Pont Alexandre III, one of the most stunning bridges over the Seine.
