Lil Twist Sentenced To One Year In Prison After Assaulting And Robbing Chris Massey: Close Pal Of Justin Bieber Still Out On Bail

One of Justin Bieber's close friends has been sentenced to spend a year in an L.A. county prison and three years' probation after he was found guilty of assaulting Chris Massey, the brother of former Disney star Kyle Massey. Lil' Twist recently convicted of assaulting "Zoey 101" actor Chris Massey after he was thrown out of a house party at Kyle's apartment in the Miracle Mile.

According to TMZ, Christopher Lynn Moore, more popularly known by his stage name Lil Twist, pleaded no contest to six charges which include assault with a deadly weapon and grand theft. The plea bargain allowed the rapper to avoid receiving a harsher sentence, which could have been sentenced to serve as much as 10 years behind bars had he not been given one.

In September, the 23-year-old rapper turned himself in after failing to appear in court for his assault case, according to a report from the Daily Mail. Witnesses described his assault on Chris Massey as being "brutal," and Lil' Twist added insult to the injury by stealing the actor's Rolex watch and pulling his pants down. Lil' Twist and his group were said to have used brass knuckles when they pummelled the Nickelodeon star.

Lil' Twist is currently out on bail and has until February 3, 2017, to turn himself in. With good behavior, he can be out by as early as August 2017 from the county jail. Lil' Twist and a group of his friends were said to be at the home of Kyle Massey when the incident took place when an argument is said to have broken out due to Chris asking Lil' Twist's to leave the premises.

They left the "That's so Raven" star's apartment only to return a little bit later break in and proceed a beat down on Chris. On top of that, the rapper took Chris Massey's Rolex with him and ran off. As a result, Massey suffered several injuries.

Lil' Twist and Justin Bieber used to be close friends and had even spent some time living under the same roof. However, Bieber's managers felt that the rapper was a bad influence for the "Sorry" singer and ultimately decided that it would be in the pop star's best interest to distance himself from Twist.
