Recently there have been a slew of angry passengers who claim to be offended by the happenings on certain cruise ships.
An Australian passenger recently sued P&O Cruises for sexual harassment over comments a crew member made.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald a 50-year-old woman, Kate Strahan, said that crew member, Rory Healey, that were serving as a judge during a signing competition berated and harassed her when she was singing on stage. She alleges that the judge said he could see through her dress, commented on her breasts and made inappropriate gestures to an image projected on screen of her. He also suggested that she could "cougar" him any time.
Apparently the comments made to Strahan in front of 1,200 passengers made her so uncomfortable that her husband said she had to stop working.
Strahan is suing for $1million.
During another mishap at P&O Cruises, an Irish man is suing the owners of the cruise line after being offended by comedians.
John Wolfe, 74 states that he was humiliated by the jokes comedians made that stereotyped Irish people five years ago on one of P&O Cruises.
The Guardian states that he complained about the jokes after the cruise and they assured the humor would be banned. He was given a 1000 British pound voucher. However, when he sailed again on the cruise, he found that comedians were still using the jokes about Irish people.
He has since brought a civil claim against Carnival Plc, which is P&O Cruises' parent company.
