Lounging pool side at a flashy Las Vegas hotel, martini in hand, is the perfect labor day vacation for some. While the glitz, glam and culture of New York City wins the hearts of other travelers. From the mountains in Denver to Seattle's chill city vibe, the top ten most popular Labor day destinations according to travel deal website, Travelocity, are varied.
Monday September 3 is the start of Labor Day weekend and many travelers are pushing for one last getaway before the summer ends.
Travelocity analyzed its booking data for Labor Day to find the cheapest prices and airfares of the destinations .
Courtney Scott, senior editor at Travelocity said in a press release, "This Labor Day the most popular destinations offer something for every type of traveler, from the city slicker to beach lover. Most of the Labor Day hotspots have average hotel rates of $150 per night or lower and average airfare under the price to beat ($327), which is great news for budget-conscious travelers."
Travelocity also found a number of cities outside the top ten that were gaining popularity. Places like the idyllic paradise of the Bahamas, Beguiling Madrid, Spain and home of The Badgers-capital and college town Madison, Wisconsin.
