Dubbed the "world's cutest dog," the bear-cub like Boo has been a hit since the launch of his Facebook page that garnered him nearly 5 million likes and catapulted the furry friend to stardom. The recent addition to Boo's media presence, a travel book which is a journey through San Francisco, adds to the pups popularity.
Recently Boo, a Pomeranian with an adorable haircut, was also appointed as Virgin Airlines Official Pet Liasion. Virgin America said in a press release, "Boo is a well-traveled pup and has been able to offer us great advice on what products make pet travel easy."
Boo's travel book, "Boo: Little Dog in the Big City" was released by Chronicle Books this month. A long with the new book, there is also a contest, Boo's San Francisco Giveaway which runs from August 27 to September 10 and prizes include, tickets for two people and a dog on Virgin America to San Francisco, two nights and one dog stay at the W hotel in San Francisco and a certificate to a dog-friendly restaurant. Links to enter the giveway will appear on Chronicle's Facebook page later this month.
Adorable pictures in the new book include Boo driving a mini Benz through San Francisco's rolling streets, Boo in Alamo Square Park, on the beach in front of the Golden Gate Bridge and riding a cable car.
Boo's owner, Irene Ahn who works for Facebook, has recently been identified as Boo's owner and biggest fan after being incognito.
Boo said in an exclusive interview with CNNGo, "San Francisco is one of the world's most popular travel destinations. It's beautiful, not too hot and very dog friendly. Also, my publisher is there so it counts as business travel!"
