Finland will host the 2017 ISU World Figure Skating Championships at Helsinki as the country celebrates its hundredth year of independence. This championship will be expected to cater to famous and up-and-coming figure skaters since it will serve as the qualifying rounds to pass through the Winter Olympics in 2018.
The week of the Championships will be filled by eight different events starting off on the 29th of March with the Short Program of Ladies and Pairs.
The next day will be the turn of the Short Program for Men as well as the Free Skating of Pairs. Expect to see arduous and magnificent performances of duos as they skate freestyle along with the music of their choice. The first world champions will also be announced on this day, the 30th of March. The Free Skating of Ladies will be conducted on March 31st. The event will also give out the medals for the top contenders.
The World Figure Skating Championships will be capped off by the Exhibitions of the Champions on April 2. The crowned figure skaters will perform along with other famous Finnish skaters.
Each event offers different ticket categories. A total of five, the three categories are on the Ice level, while the other two are in the balconies. The premium tickets of the Ice level are already sold out.
