While the first screen adaptation of 'Fifty Shades of Grey' is considered as NSFW(not safe for work), the second and latest installment, 'Fifty Shades Darker' also makes the same promise. 'Fifty Shades Darker, the latest flick in the trilogy of EL James' bestselling S&M-themed novels receives an R rating.
The movie escaped the NC-17 rating by leaving out some of the book's most lascivious scenes.Just like the previous film, 'Fifty Shades Darker,' the succeeding adaptation was rated R for "strong erotic sexual content, some graphic nudity and language," based on the statement released by Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) to E! News.
In September, 'Fifty Shades Darker,' released the first official trailer that the fans got a sneak peek of some of the movie's steamy scenes. The preview shows a sexy shower scene between the stars Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) and Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey) and another peek of the pair "getting busy in bed together." The clip also unveil the enchanting fireworks and the seductive masquerade ball scene while there are quite a lot of scenes of Dornan being shirtless. As the trailer plays, Johnson's character says, "This time, no rules, and no more secrets" while Miguel's slow version of "Crazy In Love," originally sung by Beyonce' is set as the background music reported by US Magazine.
When the rating of the first film 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' was released back in 2015, it became controversial when the MPAA gave it an R rating due to "unusual behavior" as part of the reason. It probably refers to everything that goes on in the Red Room, according to US Magazine.
