2020 Elections: First Lady Michelle Obama For U.S. President?

The 2016 United States Presidential Elections is finally over and the results show Donald Trump of the Republican Party is now the new President-elect of the United States of America, after opponent from the Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton, conceded. Some of America's disappointed citizens are so unhappy about the results of the recent elections that some of them are already planning who to vote for in the next elections that will occur in 2020.

Hours after the election's victory result, many people have already picked a probable presidential candidate, via the use of social media, particularly Twitter, for the next election. That potential candidate is none other than the wife of the 44th President of the United States Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, as stated by the BBC.

One tweet stated: "Dear @MichelleObama, I know you wanted to be done with the White House but we're going to need you for president in 4 years." "Please run for president in 2020 if America survives @MichelleObama" according to a tweet by a concerned citizen. Another tweet also said: "2020 Michelle Obama will be president. This tweet will resurface 4 years from now."

The increase of the enthusiastic tweets must have been caused by the first lady's magnificent speeches she delivered throughout the years, when her husband was still doing his duties as the president. Her influence spread throughout the election season as she fluently tackled the difficult issues, such as race and gender, which divided Americans over them, according to Huffington Post.

She even discussed the great effect of her husband's presidency during her speech in the Democratic National Convention, stating "I wake up every morning in a house that was built by slaves. And I watch my daughters, two beautiful, intelligent black young women, playing with their dogs on the White House lawn." Unfortunately, she stated back in March that she had no interest in the top job.
