While "The Injustice: Gods Among Us" was well-received by fans and critics alike, "NetherRealms Studios" recently introduced a direct sequel called "Injustice 2". The upcoming fighting video game is scheduled for release next year for the consoles Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Similar to its predecessor, it will be available for iOS and Android devices.

In addition, the game will also feature additional characters through downloadable content. According to "Warner Bros. Interactive", "Injustice 2" will offer the biggest DC roster in a fighting genre. Listed below are the new playable characters found in the game. Gameplay- "Injustice 2" has retained similar gameplay from its previous game including character traits, clashes, stage transitions and super moves. IGN.com stated that the loot-dropping system offers characters to have its own specific costume pieces with status effects. Just like RPGs, the gear system rewards players after each match allowing to customize characters such as strengthening their abilities or unlocking moves, according to ign.
Plot- "Injustice 2" takes place several years after the defeat of High Councilor Superman. Batman and his insurgents are working to put society back together while defending against Superman's regime. Likewise, a new alien threat has arrive putting Earth at risk. Battles will take place in the iconic locations of the "DC Universe": Atlantis - the mythical sunken city; Gotham City - home to Batman and his allies; and Metropolis - Where Superman's base of operations can be found.
