Korean Wave, better known as Hallyu, is currently taking over the world by storm. It constitutes a variety of shows that range from the Korean's culture of the past to their popular preferences of the future. These would not be complete without the perfect backdrop for it--here is a list of scenic places where they filmed the best and famous Korean TV shows and series.

1. Cheonjuho Lake

Located at the Pocheon Art Valley, Cheonjuho Lake is perfect for filming scenes from past dynasties of South Korea. The first episode of "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" is filmed here, where Ko Ha-Jin ultimately enters a different time phase in the Goryeo dynasty as she fell down the water. It's astounding high cliffs and emerald green water make up for a majestic sight.

2. Byeokchoji Botanical Garden

Byeokchoji BotanIcal Garden marvels the eye in the day with its different colorful flowers and awes people at night as thousands little colorful lights decorating the plants lit up the place. Park Shin Hye filmed her first episode of "You're Beautiful" here where she was cleaning the statues.

3. N Seoul Tower

N Seoul Tower or the Namsan Tower is very popular for filming Korean movies and series. Located on the top of the Namsan mountain, the tower stands up to 237 meters tall. Goo Jun Pyo and Geum Jan Di filmed their first date here in the Korean version of "Boys Over Flowers." Jeon Jihyon and Kim Soo Hyun also filmed a scene here from the series "My Love from Another Star" at the bars full of lovelocks.

4. Petite France

A growing favorite, Petite France offers a romantic vibe as it is replicated from the houses you will often see in the European country. "Secret Garden" filmed the scene here where Kim Joo Won met Gil Ra Im as a stunt woman.

5. Gyeongju

Gyeongju holds five historical sites that are designated as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. This place manages to captivate people during spring and maintains its historical and cultural vibe. Korean drama "Queen Seondeok" was filmed in Shilla Millenium Park in Gyeongju.
