Aqua Hotels and Resorts at Hawaii are offering a flat 10 percent off to those who walk into the hotel wearing flip-flops.
As part of the "Slip Into Savings" promotion, this out-of-the box offer is being highly talked about. Aqua's portfolio now includes 19 properties in Hawaii out of which 15 are on Oahu and one each on Kauai, Lanai, Maui and Molokai.
Their properties have a varied range of offerings from luxury lifestyle full-service resorts, stylish boutique hotels to comfortable budget accommodations.
"Slippers are the universal footwear in Hawaii and appropriate for just about any island occasion," Elizabeth Churchill, Aqua's senior vice president of sales and marketing told USAToday. "They are a perfect choice for a themed promotion as they help our guests kick off their vacations on the right foot by feeling like locals."
The offer began in August and will last until Dec. 24.
Aqua properties offering the 10 percent discount are Aqua Aloha Surf Waikiki, Aqua Bamboo Waikiki, Aqua Lotus Honolulu, Aqua Palms Waikiki, Aqua Queen Kapiolani, Aqua Waikiki Pearl, Aqua Waikiki Wave, Ewa Hotel Waikiki, Aqua Ilikai Hotel & Suites, Island Colony, Maile Sky Court, Pagoda Hotel, Park Shore Waikiki, White Sands Hotel, Hotel Wailea Maui, Maui Beach Hotel, Aqua Hotel Molokai, Kauai Sands Hotel and Kauai Beach Resort.
The offer does not have many terms and conditions attached other than the fact that it is valid on new reservations only and cannot be combined with any other offer or specials.
For reservations, click here and enter the promotional code "slipper," which is the local name for a flip-flop.
Aqua is one of the best known hotel chains across Hawaii. Headquartered in Waikiki, Aqua was declared Hawaii's first employee-owned hotel company in 2008 when it executed an Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
