Hyatt Hotel is a famous name in the global hotel industry. With number of brands under its wings like Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt and Andaz, it is considered as one of the most sough-after guesthouse for travellers and business executives worldwide.
Part of their service commitment for the loyal customers, Hyatt announces that on March 1, 2017, "The World of Hyatt" is up to serve its holder. This new card is the replacement of Hyatt Gold Passport.
The new offering will give more points from purchases. Same as the Gold Passport, members will continue to accumulate five points for every dollar paid during a hotel stay, spa treatments, and food or beverage purchases. The additional points will be a plus to improve the holder's status to a higher rank. The points you earn are convertible for valuable rewards, like free nights with no blackout dates, sumptuous dining and upgraded room in all Hyatt hotels and resorts around the globe. What more is that, the new program will give free night to guests who stay at five different Hyatt brands. You can check their website for the complete list of brands.
One of the difference is that World of Hyatt is divided in three elite tiers; the Discoverist, Explorist and Globalist while Hyatt Gold Passport only have two, the Platinum and Diamond. In the Discoverist status, guests should stay for 10 qualifying nights or earn 25,000 base points. The next rank is Explorists, he should have 30 qualifying night stayed or 50,000 base points. And on the top of the pyramid is the Globalists, member must have 100,000 base points or accrue 60 qualifying nights. Good news is that upon arrival, all elite holders will get a room upgrade once available.
Jeff Zidell, senior vice president of Hyatt, said in an article of Travel + Leisure, "We built World of Hyatt on insights we learned from our guests, identifying more opportunities to increase our engagement with members across our portfolio. The program will deliver on exactly what our members want-a broader range of benefits and more attainable rewards to experience with the most important people in their lives."
