Thanksgiving Day, is an important public holiday celebrated in the United States. This year, it falls on November 24. This celebration is known for the festive get-together of the family plus the turkey. Tourists from neighboring countries are getting excited to join in the celebration as well.
In a report by ABC News, "An airline trade group said Wednesday that about 27.3 million people will fly on U.S. airlines over a 12-day period that starts Nov. 18 and ends the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. That's up 2.5 percent from last year."
The countries' leading airlines assured the public that they can handle higher number of travellers this season because of their quick-screening program called Pre Check. This program literally means that you'll skip the majority of the airport security line, you can now keep your shoes and belt on and walk right through without the hassle.
Transportation Security Administration's Pre Check is now available at more than 180 airports and 19 airlines nationwide. List of airlines are: Aeromexico, Delta Air Lines, Etihad Airways, Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Cape Air, Frontier Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Lufthansa, OneJet, Seaborne Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, United Airlines, Virgin America, WestJet and Hawaiian Airlines.
Almost 4 million people are now enrolled in Pre Check and more than 5 million registered in other programs such as U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Global Entry.
TSA projected in a report that, "For Thanksgiving travelers, the airline group expects the busiest travel days to be the Wednesday before and the Sunday and Monday after the holiday. Over the 12-day period, the airlines expect about 55,000 more passengers per day, but they say they have added about 74,000 seats per day with bigger planes and more flights."
They are encouraging people to sign up for Pre Check to prevent lengthy security lines and for easier transaction. They also enlarged their staff to accommodate the flooding of vacationist.

1. Enroll online- Apply online through TSA website. Fill in necessary information and submit your application. Schedule an appointment at any of 380+ registration centers.
2. Background Check- Once you get your schedule, go in person for background check and fingerprinting. It will be done in 10 minutes.
3. Enjoy TSA Pre Check- Add your KTN or "Known Traveler Number" to your ticket and enjoy Thanksgiving Holiday.
