Until November 5, 'Little Big Adventure 2', described as an action-adventure PC game, can be bought without paying anything for it. As part of its The Monstrous Fall Sale, online digital game store GOG is giving away the highly-rated game for free.
Gaming news sites Gamespot and PC Gamer have reported on the huge sale that is currently taking place on GOG. The game store has just announced on its site that The Monstrous Fall Sale has already begun. GOG also revealed in the announcement that 'Little Big Adventure 2' is currently totally free but only for 48 hours. There will be hundreds of discounted games offered on sale at up to 90 percent off. More free games will be given away to customers depending on the amount each will spend during the sale. The sale is only until November 13, 7:00 pm PST but the free offer for 'Little Big Adventure 2' will end much earlier, on Saturday.
'Little Big Adventure 2' was developed and first released by Adeline Software in 1997. Electronics Arts later re-released the game in Europe. It was also re-released under the name Twinsen's Odyssey in North America and Brazil by Activision, and in Asia and Japan by Virgin Interactive Software.
The game, both as Little Big Adventure 2 and Twinsen's Odyssey, has received very good reviews. Mobygames.com gives the game a score of 88 percent based on 37 published reviews while GameRankings.com gives it a score of 84.75 percent based on 4 published reviews. On Steam, the game received a 98.6 percent average rating from 71 users while on GOG, 1254 users gave it an average rating of 4.9 out of 5. The game also earned a user score of 9.0/10 on Metacritic, based on 46 user ratings.
All games on GOG are free from Digital Rights Management constraints. Being DRM-free is what differentiates it from Steam, their most dominant competition, and all other digital download game stores.
