Snoop Dogg Banned From Norway After Marijuana Bust

"Doggy Style" rapper, Snoop Dogg has been banned from entering Norway for two years. The famous rapper had a small amount of marijuana on him when trying to enter the country last month.

Calvin Broadus, aka Snoop Dogg, was traveling to The Hove music festival in southern Norway when a sniffer dog at the Kjevic Airport customs in Kristiansand sniffed out eight grams of marijuana in his luggage. Snoop was also carrying more cash than is legally allowed. At the time he was fined 12,000 Norwegian Krone which is $1,984.36.

His lawyer told The Associated Press that Snoop, "can live with the decision" to not enter Norway for two years and has no plans to return the country anytime soon.

The rapper, who is known for his fondness for marijuana, has had a few run-ins with the law in the past. In December of last year, her was sued by a Lebanese concert promoter for allegedly smoking pot in a Lebanese club in 2009. Snoop was also arrested this past January when authorities searched his tour bus and found three prescription bottles filled with marijuana joints. He was released with a warning.

After his run in at the airport he went on to play at The Hove music festival. The popular Norwegian music festival in Tromoy Southern Norway, included performers like The Shins, M83, Skrillex and Lan Del Rey. Snoop, who is currently on tour, played at the Catalpa Festival on July 29.
