Funimation comes with a good news this fall. It will be bringing English dub for fans to have an amazing season of SimulDub shows. Dubbed as "For The Love of Dubs", the company will have a total of 18 dubbed titles, exceeding last season's count.
As a result, fans will now be able to enjoy the first of the many new shows that are available because of the partnership of Funimation with Crunchyroll last month. The SimulDub shows can be watched in commercial-free 1080 each week and caters exclusively to Premium subscribers, Funimation adds.
"Our fans love dubs and we're very excited to bring them another record season of SimulDub shows this fall," said Gen Fukunaga, CEO and founder of Funimation. "From new titles like 'Drifters' and 'Keijo!!!!!!!!' to fan favorites including 'Orange' and 'ReLIFE' - we have something for everyone."
Thanks to Funimation's integrated in-house studio, the volume of SimulDub is made possible. As announced earlier, Funimation will produce a SimulDub as soon as two weeks after an episode airs in Japan. SimulDub gives fans a wide selection of titles months before they are released on home video.
"We're extremely pleased to once again raise the bar and bring our fans a record number of SimulDub shows this season," said Mike DuBoise, EVP and COO of Funimation. "Our proven ability to produce a SimulDub episode within two weeks truly sets Funimation apart in the industry and enables us to not only bring content quicker to our current subscribers but also create a whole new audience by making anime more accessible with English language dubs. "
One of the shows included in SimulDub program is "ReLIFE". Its first episode premiered last Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. EDT.
Anime News Network said that Yayoiso's original manga centers around Arata Kaizaki, an unemployed, single 27-year-old who has just been cut off from his parents' financial support. One night after a drinking session with a high school friend, he meets Ryō Yoake, a man who offers Arata pills to turn him back into a 17-year-old so he can redo his life. Agreeing to the experiment, Arata meets Chizuru Hishiro, a socially awkward silent beauty, in a high school class. Through her and his other classmates, Arata must fins what he lacks to live a happy life in the real world within a one-year time limit.
Meanwhile, "ReLIFE", directed by Tomo Kosaka, was streamed through Crunchyroll last July 1.
