Square Enix recently revealed a new trailer and announced additional features for its "Final Fantasy XV" PlayStation 4 and Xbox One game at the Paris Games Week.
Digic Pictures, one behind Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, animated the trailer. When asked about the trailer, Square Enix described it as "inspired by the world and story of FINAL FANTASY" and "depicts an 'omen' for Noctis' father, King Regis, of a catastrophic future that must be avoided."
Hype Beast adds that the trailer is dubbed as "Omen," and "sheds a light on the mood and pacing players can expect from the game by showcasing a montage of seemingly disparate events."
Hajime Tabata, the game director, said that the game will have a new cooperative multiplayer mode, where players can play as Noctis, Ignis, Gladiolus, or Prompto in battle. The new mode will be available as downloadable content following the game's release.
Tabata retold the plans for other DLC "Episodes," with each focusing on different members of Noctis' party. Anime News Network adds that players will be allowed to control the characters in their DLC episode.
Square Enix also released concept images for Gladiolus' and Prompto's episodes.
The game will be out on November 29 after a delay. It will have a Deluxe edition, which will come with a steelbook case, a copy of the Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV film, and three DLC items, consisting of: a Royal Raiment outfit, a Masamune weapon, and a Platinum Leviathan recoloring of the Regalia vehicle. The Deluxe Edition will cost $89.99 for pre-order.
On the other hand, the Collector's Edition will include all the items in the Deluxe Edition, together with a 192-page art book, a Play Arts Kai figure of Noctis, a soundtrack that includes music from the game as well as the Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV anime and the Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV film, a copy of the Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV anime, and four additional items, including: a Travel Pack, Camera Kit, Angler Set, and Gourmand Set. The Collector's Edition is available for $269.99.
