President Barack Obama, who turns 51, on August 4 will celebrate his birthday with two lucky supporters in tow. The Obama campaign is offering supporters a chance to attend his birthday celebration next month in Chicago.
The Obama campaign sent out an email from Michelle Obama on July 16 that stated "two grassroots supporters" could win an all-expense paid trip to Chicago to celebrate the President's birthday party next month. It said, "We'd like to give grassroots supporters an opportunity to join in the fun. You guys deserve it, and I know Barack would personally love to see you there. Donate $3 or whatever you can today, and you'll be automatically entered to get your name added to the guest list."
A message from Joe Biden was also sent out that said, "Barack's turning 51 in a couple weeks. And when he goes home to Chicago for a birthday party in his backyard, a couple grassroots supporters like you will be flown in from wherever you live to celebrate." He added, "Take it from me. You'll have fun at this one."
No purchase is necessary to win, but to be eligible supporters must donate any amount of money to the campaign. Entrees must be received by July 26, 2012. The trip includes the following: Roundtrip airfare from within the U.S. for two, hotel accommodation for two, and tickets for the winner and a guest to an event with President Obama.
