At the Marvel's "Iron Fist" panel in the New York Comic-Con, Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb said, "We can't show you the show, we just finished filing this morning," He also showed the packed Main Stage at the Javits Center the new trailer for the March 17, 2017 debuting Netflix series.
Those present in the panel for the 13-episode first season of the series saw Loeb, Iron Fist himself Finn Jones and showrunner Scott Buck onstage. Other cast members include Jessica Henwick, David Wenham, Jessica Stroup and Tom Pelphrey.
According to TV Series Finale, the final Defender is on the way, and Claire Temple will not be missing out on the action. Rosario Dawson, who portrayed Temple in Marvel's "Jessica Jones", Marvel's "Daredevil", and Marvel's "Luke Cage", was also spotted on-stage on Saturday in NYC. She was the surprise guest and new addition to the "Iron Fist" cast, which delighted the crowd. Dawson also teased how her character would be involved in some fisticuffs.
The fourth Marvel series for Netflix also includes "Game of Thrones" alum Jones as once missing billionaire by day and martial arts master and possessor of a mystical force by night Danny Rand. Similar to most Marvel hero, Deadline says that Rand is trying to find himself amidst the conflicting responsibilities and burdens of his abilities. He "is riddled by contradictions," Jones told Deadline.
Moreover, the teaser for Iron Fist appeared on the big screens. Many clips were revealed throughout the panel including a hallway fight scene, a Marvel fave, that sees Jones' character leave no man standing and Henwick's Colleen Wing send two giant thugs to the ground in a schoolyard bare fisted street match.
This was not the first time fans had a preview of "Iron Fist". There was a short first look at the series and the plane crash that found 10-year-old Danny rand lost to the world among the mountains was shown at the "Luke Cage" panel during San Diego Comic-Con this summer.
Marvel's Iron Fist premieres Friday, March 17, 2017.
