Are you attractive? Do you like traveling for free on the arm of a rich and generous man? Welcome to MissTravel.com, the new dating site phenomenon that allows attractive individuals, mostly women, to go on free trips with rich (and hopefully handsome) men. The site started by dating website veteran, Brandon Wade, claims to be the "first online dating website to combine travel and romance."
Basically if you are a beautiful individual who wants to travel but doesn't have the money to do so, then you can sign up for free as an Attractive Traveler. If you are rich and generous (and maybe a little lonely), looking for a lovely travel companion that you would like to jaunt around the world with at you at your expense, you can sign up as a Generous Traveler and meet your match, for a fee of course.
The site, which launched in April already has 100,000 members. So far Wade told ABCNews.com that the site has 70 percent Attractive Travelers and 30 percent Generous Travelers. Of the 30 percent generous members, 99 percent are men. Currently, attractive members outnumber the generous members by 3 to 1 but the site also has a hefty gay constituency. Still, its traffic comes mostly from the approximately 27,000 generous men seeking beautiful women, which they have about 74,000 to choose from.
The website has been in the spotlight as a possible scene for escorting, but Wade said to USA Today, "There's no money exchanged ... Yes, one person is paying, but if you're inviting someone to come along, you have to pay for it anyway. In the real world, if you hire a travel escort, you have to pay that person a hefty fee."
The staff also keeps an eye out for escorts who join the site and kick them out.
Wade has started a number of dating sites in the past including WhatsYourPrice.com, where members bid for dates, SeekingMillionare.com and SeekingArrangement.com.
