It finally happened! Sony and Marvel have teamed up to bring Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The latest Spider-Man reboot, "Spider-Man: Homecoming", will follow the character's introduction in"Captain America: Civil War". It will be directed by Jon Watts, written by Jonathan M. Goldstein and John Francis Daley, and starring Tom Holland as Spider-Man himself.
Though the film's release is still over a year away, spoiler and details about the movie have circulated on social media. Screen Rant has shared that "Spider-Man: Homecoming" seems to be a playful and bright Marvel movie with a distinctively entertaining vibe.
Picking up from the storyline in "Captain America: Civil War", Peter Parker is now sponsored by Tony Stark, who is also acting as a hero-mentor and tech benefactor for him. Spidey, who will be featured in the reboot, has already been active in New York, working independently for quite some time.
Aside from the recent updates and spoilers, an interesting information caught the attention of the fans of the said film. Comic Book was revealed that Daniel Radcliffe shared in a recent interview with Metro UK that he wanted to play the title role in Marvel's upcoming franchise reboot, "Spider-Man: Homecoming."
"I would've been a good Spider-Man, but the boat has sailed on that," Radcliffe said. "And I'm very happy to watch Tom Holland do it. He's fantastic."
The 27-year-old revealed that he loves superhero movies and even added that he would be willing to act in a new franchise, even though it's far different in terms of length compared to his decade-long role in the "Harry Potter" films.
"I'm not sure if I'd sign up for something that was another seven or eight films or ten years," Radcliffe said. "But a shorter franchise, yeah."
Radcliffe is currently promoting the UK release of his new film "Swiss Army Man" which he portrays a magical, talking corpse.
Meanwhile, the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" will be released on July 7, 2017.
