Passengers on board a Southwest Airlines flight got a surprise announcement over the intercom. Flavor Flav took over the system to promote his fried chicken restaurant.
On Thursday, Flavor Flav, 53, took some time during his Southwest Airlines from Burbank, California to Las Vegas to make a special announcement over the plane intercom. When the flight was close to landing, Flavor Flav got hold of the microphone and took the time to thank the airline crew and to plug his takeout restaurant, according to a recording on TMZ.
First the reality star and rapper spoke about the weather waiting for the passengers in Las Vergas. Then he asks his fellow passengers to thank the plane crew as he says "Right about now, we're on our final descent... Let's give a hand to our flight attendants for taking good care of us up here. And also we can't forget the pilots that's flying us (sic)." The passengers can be heard applauding and laughing.
After thanking the crew, the Public Enemy rapper did a bit of personal promotion as he spoke about his restaurant. "Also, just to let y'all know that I do have a restaurant, it's called Flavor Flav's House of Flavor," he said. The restaurant is a soul food restaurant in Las Vegas which serves things such as collard greens, potato salad, fried chicken, and waffles as he announced through the intercom. The restaurant opened in March this year.
After the shameless plug which makes the passengers laugh, Flavor Flav thanks his fans for all of their support and wishes them the best saying " I just want to say good luck to everybody with your life, your future, your goals." Of course he finished off by having all the passengers join him in saying his famous chant "Flavaaa Flaaaaaav."
TMZ also posted a photo of Flavor Flav on the plane wearing his trademark clock around his neck and he seems to have a beverage in hand.
