In 2017, April 10 to be exact, Australian Airlines will link Vienna to Los Angeles, according to Business Traveller.
Australian Airlines will start their non-stop service with their Boeing 777 and link Central Europe to US West coast, featuring 48 business class seats and 260 economy seats to travelers.
As per businesstraveller.com, the service will start from five times a week daily except Tuesday and Sunday from April 10 to June 12 and will be upgraded to a daily frequency from June 13 onwards.
"We will fly to the West Coast with our existing fleet and are already very excited about this new venture. Initially, the Los Angeles-Vienna route will be served seasonally in the summer 2017 flight schedule," said Andreas Otto, Austrian's Chief Commercial Officer, as stated in BreakingTravel News.
Los Angeles is the sixth new flight destination in the United States for Australian Airlines after Chicago, Newark and Miami, and seventh in North America, according to Australian Airlines.
They also said that this is one of the company's biggest leap since this will be a lot beneficial to their customers in shortening their travel time and effort. Before, travelers have had to change planes.
But with the new flight route, flight block to Los Angeles will be reduced to 12 hrs and 30 mins, and 11 hrs and 55 mins to Vienna, Business Travellers shared.
The new flight will operate as follows:
