Things Traveling Parents Should Have In Their Travel Bag: Traveling With Kids

Traveling with kids does not need to be a disaster. Be prepared. Have these essentials packed inside your bag.

Candy. Sweets or snacks are useful to entertain or reward your kids. You can reward your toddlers with candies for being well behaved on a trip. Snacks are there if they are very hungry but you are still far from your eating destination.

Cellphone. Downloading travel apps on your cellphone is a good choice if you need to check your plane tickets and itineraries.

Toiletries. Purchase trial sizes of the following: wipes, tissue, sanitizer, shampoo, body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, moisturizer and lotion. Don't forget to put in toothbrush, hairbrush, hair ties, tweezers and small mirror.

Entertainment. Games, toys or books that would provide entertainment for your kids while you are waiting for your next flight or before you arrive at your next destination would greatly make your travels less stressful.

Clothes. Always pack light and practical clothes. Bring those that are wrinkle-free and easy to dry.

Copies of itinerary. Put hard copies of your itinerary, home address, and hotel addresses in your travel bag. When your bag gets lost, the airport staff knows where to forward it.

First aid kit. Never forget a small bag for emergencies:band-aids, alcohol, insect reliever, wipes, ointment and pain reliever.

Reusable water bottle. During stops, refill your BPA-free water bottle. A refilled one would come in handy once one of your kids become thirsty.

Portable power source. In this world of technology, you need to recharge your gadgets even when on the road.

Kid's sunglasses. This is good to protect your kid's eyes from the sun's rays.

Plastic bags. When your kids need to puke, you can use this as container. You can also use plastic bags as temporary garbage containers.

Towels. This is extremely useful to wipe out the sweat and tears from your kids when they play.
