The "Secret in Their Eyes" actress Julia Roberts visited the Children First Academy in Phoenix two weeks ago, and the kids at the school were surprised and confused by the actress' appearance.
The students of Children First Academy live below the poverty line and most of them are homeless - fortunately, they received care.
The appearance of Roberts in the school was filmed and will be shown during "The Red Nose Day Special." The video will air on Channel 12 (KPNX) at 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, according to AZ Central.
Red Nose Day is a fundraising event dedicated to helping children, and it was created in England and launched in the States last year. With the aim to help children in poverty.
The proceeds of the event will go to the children and young people in the United States and even to some of the poorest communities in the world.
"The oldest child in the room was probably 12," nurse at the academy Lacey Khor stated. "At one point, one of the kids said, 'Are you famous or something?' And Roberts replied, 'I think I'm going to let Lacey answer that question.'"
The Oscar-winning actress was accompanied by Red Nose Day executive producer Richard Curtis. Roberts stated that "It's amazing how much they can provide in this small space for a huge amount of children who are entitled to care and love," as stated by NBC.
On the other hand, according to E! News, celebrities from the likes of the television host Ellen DeGeneres, Emma Watson, Connie Britton, Liam Neeson, the Golden Globe award winner - Lena Dunham, Chloë Grace Moretz, Zac Efron, Will Ferrell, Adam DeVine, Tyler Perry and more - made a comedic video on the traditional celebrity plea in support of the Red Nose Day 2016.
