OnePlus 3 specifications and features recently leaked along with the announcement that the smartphone will be released next month and a first look of the released images of the phone.
Evan Blass, a known serial leaker and is said to be fairly accurate with his revelations, recently posted on Twitter the main specifications and features of the upcoming basic OnePlus 3 version of the phone.
“OnePlus 3 basics: 5.5-inch 1080p, Snapdragon 820, 64GB storage, 16MP rear camera, NFC,” Blass said on Twitter along with a picture of the device which appears to be running Android N, BGR reported.
Since it is rumored that there will be at least two distinct OnePlus 3 models, one version will come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB storage while a premium model will feature 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. The phone will be powered by a 3500mAh battery.
Although some of the specs already appeared in previous benchmark leaks, it is interesting to know that the phone comes with a built-in storage of 64GB. It was also revealed that the cheapest OnePlus3 unit will have a 32GB storage. Compared to the 16GB of the iPhone 6, this feature is indeed notable.
Meanwhile, a chat transcript between a costumer and a OnePlus live chat representative reportedly said that the smartphone will be fully revealed on June 14 during a VR-focused event but one can still watch it even without using a headset.
Images of OnePlus 3 was also released via China's TENAA featuring a big front button that is rumored to hide a fingerprint scanner, a protruding camera, and horizontal lines on the top and bottom of the backplate, Android Police wrote.
Similar to last year's unveiling of OnePlus 2, the new flagship will also be launched using VR. To recall, about 30,000 Google Cardboard VR headsets were sent for the launching of the OnePlus 2 but this time, instead of sending out free Cardboard headsets, the company will ship 30,000 Loop VR headsets, Phone Arena reported.
These free headsets are created by AntVR and OnePlus and will work with any phone that has a 5-inch to 6-inch screen. The user can also purchase the phone in Virtual Reality using the Loop VR headset.
